Black Pearls And New Arrivals
There are more black greyhounds than any other. Why,
because it is the dominant colour and for some reason unknown to us, black
greyhounds are always the hardest colour of greyhound to home.
However, its our opinion that there is nothing lovelier than a stunning sleek
greyhound with a shiny, glossy black coat.
We have a few Black Pearls of our
own who are keen to have a new home and show how spectacular a black greyhound
really can be, but
whatever way you look at it and regardless of colour, they all need a loving home.
If you feel you can offer a loving home any of our Rescued Racers
then drop an email into the
Rescued Racers Mailbox.

Woody A big dull dog who loves being the centre of attention. He loves a good bark, a fuss and a play. Has come directly from the track so still a bit brainwashed and still thinks that the world exists with nothing in it only greyhounds. Bet your bottom dollar he won't be cat or small dog friendly but we have been known to be wrong before, however, we think with the right owner, a bit of time and patients Woody will make a wonderful pet. |

Mick Two year old Mick is a very, very handsome boy, as you can see he is fawn but he has very unusual black feathers on his throat, neck and his tail. He is a very loving and affectionate dog, loves to chase a ball but sometimes he does have a tendency to jump up so probably would not be suitable for a home with young children. Still a little underweight so another few pounds on the waistline won't do him any harm at all. |

Tom Handsome black boy Tom is 3 years old, happy and lively, clean and quiet in the house. He's maybe not the ideal for a home where there is young children as he does tend to jump up at people to enthusiastically greet them but he is learning and may be in time this will stop. He gets on well with other greyhounds and similar sized dogs, but is not cat friendly. |

Donna Pretty little black 2 years old girl. Recently retired due to a torn muscle. Easy going and very nice natured but unfortunately not cat or small dog friendly. Will make a very loving companion dog for the right family. |

Princess Pretty 5 year old fawn girl who is very well mannered, clean and non-destructive. Princess is currently in a foster home with some other smaller greyhound crosses and has already made the sofa her own. She adores human companionship as well as children and all types of dogs even the small ones but she is not cat friendly. Her only defect is that she has had a few inches of her tail amputated due to an injury but she still manages to wag what's left vigorously. |
