HACKNEY** Closed in January 1997 after a major multi-million pound refit was completed just a few months previously.

There have been 308 more races in 1995 than there was in 1994 but still the attendance figures have continued to fall.

Why then if the decline in the greyhound industry has continued unabated for so many years do the powers that be decide we need more greyhounds? This is a question that I and many other people have asked, however no satisfactory answer is yet to be received.
