My name is Paul, and yes my wife and I have a rescued Greyhound. Her name is Sheba and she is 9 years old and Irish bred. We acquired her when she was about 3yo and proving to be stunningly unsuccessful on the track. To confirm what you already know, she is very placid, never barks (unless she is excited) and is very gentle with just about everything - except cats. We have four other "rescued" dogs (not greyhounds) along with cockatiels and a (very) young grand-daughter and Sheba is trusted with them all.

And as for our Sheba - well as you can see for yourself she's not terribly keen on that white stuff called snow (may be a little too cold for her feet).
