| Lulu - our seventh contribution
(by Jennifer
Jay) I had been at the race track only because my mother dragged me there. I am not any avid gambler of any kind. I was very relieved when I heard "come visit our adoption centre" ...it gave me something to do. Well that moment changed my life forever. I fell in love with the greyhounds that were there. Went home filled out the application and patiently waited. After approx three weeks they called and said that they had 5 for me to look at. Lulu was shy and reserved, quiet but oh so beautiful. She has a shorter nose than most greys and deeper set eyes. Well, she really fooled me. Once we got home she has turned into and outgoing and very alpha female. Every single day is an adventure for us. We are very involved in rescuing greyhounds and donating items to the track. There could not be a better breed. |

Jay - our eighth contribution
(by Jennifer
Jay) After 1 1/2 years of owning Lulu I had finally convinced my husband to let me get a second grey. Believe me, if it was not for him I would have had one a lot sooner. We went to look at a few greys. Lu was not much help in picking out a new member of the family as she was very aloof. As I was at the adoption centre, a woman arrived who was going to return her greyhound after she had him for two years as he was too expensive. I feel in love with him. He was a little on the shy side but a very beautiful boy. I was not able to take him home that time as he had to be updated on shots etc. So a week passed and I came back for my sweet honey. We have had him approx 3 months and he and Lu are still adjusting. No major disagreements just the fact that he is so much shier than Lu. They are so different but I love them for all of their differences. Greyhounds are the best. |
