Ollie - our twenty second contribution (by Alison Niemira)
Above is a picture of Ollie. He likes to sit in the garden if it's not too hot or too cold. Ollie came home to us after Jade our lurcher decided he was the one - she would not entertain the idea of mixing with any other greyhound except him. Little did she know that he doesn't play games and sits on her in the night! Ollie gets on great with kids and ok with most dogs. He can't understand why the whole world isn't his friend. He saves his best smiles for the grandparents but usually has one for my son when he comes home from school. When we lost our last dog, I wanted a kid safe dog who I could cuddle and Ollie certainly fits the bill. I can thoroughly recommend having a big black goofy male! Why he didn't win a prize in most handsome dog at the local fair I just don't know......but he is handsome to us even if it took at least a fortnight to feel that way! We are just thankful to the kennel worker who saved him from being put to sleep after his broken leg and the RGT for looking after him until we found him.

Bones - our twenty third contribution (by Shawn Concannon)
Having just found your site after surfing through many I thought maybe you would like a picture of Bones who I have just rescued to be a friend to Jake (inset) another rescue but a lurcher. Bones is so called as when he was found last year he weighed 30lbs and was skin and bones the kennels that took him in then spent a lot of time getting him right he did go to another home for a short while but unfortunately came back and the kennel owners were wary of putting him out to anyone else but with myself and wife having Jake he said lets give it a go and that's how I got him and he has been with me a week now and what a lovely and well behaved boy you couldn't ask for. I am waiting for the kennel to give me a photo of him when he was found if it isn't to upsetting I may send it to you as well to let you see the difference. I just wish he would wag his tail a little while being fussed but with time he will. As for Jake he and Bones think the world of each other and you would think they been brought up together. Anyway that's it for now unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any greyhound rescue centres in Scotland but if I am wrong please let me know.

Kind Regards

Shawn Concannon
